The AACO Youth Program has allowed for Asian American teens to help their community locally and globally. AACO Youth provides a forum for enterprising and socially conscious boys and girls to undertake projects that help alleviate the challenges faced by the underprivileged members of our society and make their lives better. These projects include making masks for senior citizens to combat the COVID-19 pandemic or organizing food drives for local soup kitchens or raising awareness and support to improve the lives of girls across Asia.
There’s a lot that the younger generation can do and we always welcome additional members who want to work towards making our world a better place.Contact Us
The AACO Youth chapter prepared masks to be supplied to the West Windsor Senior Citizens center. COVID-19 has ravaged the world and this deadly virus affects senior citizens the most. The AACO Youth team assembled the materials to make masks, made the masks and delivered it to the Senior Citizens Center. The members were happy and touched that young people were thinking about them and were very appreciative.
In early October 2020, the AACO Youth chapter organized a food drive in West Windsor, NJ. The West Windsor residents generously supported this cause by providing a wide variety of food items. The AACO Youth members went house and house, picked up the food items and delivered it to the Trenton Soup Kitchen The Trenton Soup Kitchen’s mission is to feed those who are hungry and to offer programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve quality of life. They do a great job for the community, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, all soup kitchens and food banks have been severely impacted and need a lot of help.
AACO Youth wanted to help the Trenton Soup Kitchen by creating awareness within West Windsor and mobilizing the generosity of the residents.
